Swaying my head side to side
Singing " Arzu hal ichin "
I watch the hedges outside
Sway in sync.
The drum beats of life
Acknowledge the pour
Of blessed rain that binds
The Earth to the sky
The flames of yearning rising high
Notes of music pouring down
Waters of joy
Words from a distant land
Set to tunes from above
Touches my soul
In Ilaahi singing night and day
Inside of me, did I find
The Bird and the Rose.
