When Prof. A A* speaks

When Prof. A A speaks
Honeyed words of wisdom
Issue forth, gently, slowly
One by one.
Oh listen, refrain
From your own
Torrent of thoughts.
Break the links
That hold them.
Then and only then
In your earthen expanse
Of inner silence
Will fall, seeds of truths
That escape the clutches
Of time, space and culture,
Drawing the rich past,
Hinting at a continuum
That exists in you.
